Dublin Christmas Crackers
Dublin Flea Market just celebrated its 3rd birthday (woop woop)
But more importantly, we're about to give Dublin its biggest Christmas market of the year, next weekend Dec 10th & 11th.
The only time we've ever moved from our home in Newmarket square was last year to collaborate with those great folks over at Block T in Smithfield. We had a great weekend so inevitably decided to do it again this year, but do it bigger and better. So not only are we going to be in the wonderful space that is Block T but we are taking over Block B as well, one of Dublin's many disused spaces. Block B is just one of so many empty buildings in the Smithfield area so we are delighted to bring some life into it, even if it is only for two days.
With over 100 stalls, its great to see so many independent Irish businesses and individuals doing creative things making art, crafts, furniture and clothes, with all the usual second hand, retro and vintage sellers in there as well. We're glad we can give them all a platform to trade from.
We'll be back in Newmarket square for the usual Christmas Flea Market on the 18th, the last market of the year. Then its back to the last Sunday of every month in January.

LAST CHRISTMAS!
We make Party! Fashion Flohmarkt is happy to support our friends: „Last Christmas“ Market. Located in a charming east German shopping mall, in a spacious disused shop on Karl Liebknecht Str. 13, Alexanderplatz. Conveniently located on the ground-floor the one time Schlecker drug store can be found opposite Kaisers supermarket.
This shopping mall saw its glory days in the 80's & 90's and the good people of Last Christmas are planning to reclaim the building and sparkle it with colour and good cheer!
Technically it will be its LAST CHRISTMAS (as the center is closing next year).
Selected Berlin-based VINTAGE sellers will meet creative minds, who will be presenting their upcycled fashion and accessories.
First date is 3.12 + 4.12, if its successful and if it works out (i.e: if tons of shiny, happy people attend , there is the possibility they'll continue on the other 2 weekends before Christmas 10+11.12 2011 and 17+18.12.2011!!!
Apart from the UNIQUE sellers, we will have some great music, nice food & coffee/yogi-tea/punch and oh yeah: and some GLÜHWEIN fo sure!
our slogan:
'This year - to save us from tears – we present you something special'

Market at The Tobacco Factory, Bristol
Here's a nice market I visited this weekend just gone.
The Tobacco Factory in Bristol have a nicely-sized and partly sheltered car-park round the side of their building. Being in one of the most progressive cities in the UK, I suppose it was obvious that they would put it to good use.
As you can see, the market takes place every week, and below you can see some of the important features it boasts.
Nice open, accessible space.
A variety of second-hand, vintage, home-made and artisan products.
Plants and all!
My favourite stall: the bike M.O.T. stall (cheaper than Decathlon...)
And finally, what you don't sell and you don't want to take home with you goes in this charity container. Simples!

Lost & Found
Hi Jumblers.
Yesterday was the annual (?) Lost and Found second-hand event, which takes place in Barceloneta by the beach.
Despite the rain in the morning, the day turned out glorious and there was plenty of solid shopping going down, plus DJ, Estrella Damm food & drink tent and shed loads of stalls with all the usual random tackle.
A few flicks:
