VINTAGE POP UP RETURNS TO THE OLD QUEENS HEAD, ISLINGTON

Lost In Vintage, returns for a mad March outing at the Old Queen’s Head on Essex Road on Saturday 3rd March from 12 noon.

Staged in the vintage-styled events room above the pub, Lost In Vintage will host a range of carefully-picked stalls selling unique vintage and homemade wares. Stalls specialise in 60s and 70s chic and 80s glamour – and it’s the place to find sparkly playsuits, IT dresses, ultimate coats, and bargain handbags and jewellery. There’ll also be vintage fashion for men too with an emphasis on 80s and 90s men clothing.

Even if you’re not a fan of vintage it’s worth a trip to sample Kooky Bakes’ award-winning Whoopie Pies and Kooky (cup) Cakes. Perfect with a cocktail or two. All set off with the retro sounds of our resident retro DJ, Sugar Pie Simone.

All happening on 3 March 2012, 12 noon til 5pm.

Shit Jumper Party

I'm headed to London this weekend to continue the (what seems like) never-ending birthday celebrations. While scooting around the internet to see what one might get up to in LDN for the next few days I realised I'd missed the 'Shit Jumper Party'. Organised by two London lasses who have a passion for shit jumpers, these irregular parties are host to some shit-hot DJ's, while the shittest jumper wins a prize! The parties are free, the music's great and well, the jumpers speak for themselves. Maybe I'll catch one the next time I'm in town.
